Author Description Dutch historian, senator and writer on terrorism. <br /><br />In 2004 she promoted on her thesis about the relationship of Dutch churches with the German Democratic Republic. <br /><br />In 2007 she co-founded the Centre for Terrorism and Counterterrorism of the University of Leiden. <br /><br />In 2015 she was on the candidate's list for the Senate for the social-christian ChristenUnie party.
